Phishing using a better site!
I am just on my way to America (Orlando) with the family and therefore have to apply for ‘Travel Authorization’ from the department of homeland security. Unfortunately, they are having issues with sites essentially phishing them. This is a little different from the classic phishing attack, as the attackers are using design, usability and perception. The design of the phishing site is much better, exudes more quality and authority (it even warns of phishing attacks) than the official site.
The real issue is that the phishers have taken the time to create the sites that the users expect to see.
How has the department of Homeland Security decided to remedy the problem: Create an ‘Official Statement‘
